We enjoy hosting a variety of guests and group events at the ranch. Whether you are looking for an single night stay, a long weekend, or a full week to relax and recuperate, we have the venue for you.
The Lodge at Rayado
Lodge rooms overlook the Rayado River and the historic Santa Fe Trail. Kit Carson's home and resupply stop along the trail is right across the road from us.
During the summer and fall months, tours of Carson’s old hacienda are conducted hourly by the Boy Scouts of America. The soldier barracks from this same time period is restored and located a short walk from of our lodge. If you are a history buff, visit our historic Saint James Hotel in Cimarron built in 1872. Check out the numerous bullet holes in the ceiling of the bar. All these holes were made in the 1800’s when the west was REALLY WILD. If your interests are more toward fishing, there are 2 trout lakes and 4 pike ponds a short drive from your lodge room.
Escape to the High Country
Ojo Lake and Cabin
Any of our three high country cabins are perfect for a private family vacation. When you rent one of our cabins, you get a beautiful clean cabin, boat with electric motor, life vests, split firewood for the fireplace, and a lake stocked with huge Rainbow Trout all to yourself! Spring is the time to go. 14 - 16 inch Rainbows are the rule in the high country.
The Agua Fria and Ojo Cabins have their own kitchen filled with utensils, cookware, refrigerator, oven, and a coffee pot. All you need to do is bring your own food and drinks. Each cabin also has a clean BBQ grill to cook yourself the perfect steak. Our cabins in the high country have a minimum 2 nights rental. There is a 3 day minimum rental for the Memorial Day and July 4th weekends.
Glamping at Agua Fria Lake and OJO Lake
Glamping Tents at Agua Fria Lake and Ojo Lake are the newest additions to the Ranch. The luxurious Glamping Tents have a spectacular view of the lake and all the amenities of home. There is plenty of room for the kids to play outdoors, hike, boat, or fly fish for trophy trout. Add a wildlife tour or an evening in our wildlife viewing tower to your stay for an additional thrill. Each glamping tent has 2 queen beds, exquisite furnishings, spectacular views and solar powered LED lights. Each tent also has a sink and toilet. A shower room is just a short walk from the tent.
